If anyone have any prejudice towards the RCC and its corruptive influence, then you should know the background of Westcott & Hort of whom participated in the translation of the NIV.
How can anyone trust them that do not love Him and His words to translate and give all of His words to you without adding or subtracting in changing the message of that which was given?
Remember what Jesus said that the Father has declared to such individuals.
John 14: 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
So yes: it really does matter which Bible you use as I vouch for the meat of God's words as kept by those that loved Him and His words in the King James Bible where the Received Texts came from Antioch where the disciples by the scripture testified that they went there to study His words.
Acts 11:26And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. We have fundamental difference of our faith. It is futile to discuss in so many threads. I will reply to only one thread becaseu I dont have the time to explain everything in detail.
