I urge you to read Jesus word which is in for gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John of the New Testament daily without anyone's help.
Strive to obey everything you learned. There are too many corrupted advices are given by the organizations. Please don't rely on others help but the Bible. If you are sincere and devoted believer, you will grow quickly as Jesus' servants with Holy Spirit's (Jesus' helper) help.
Christianity is all about being faithful to Jesus which is following Jesus' teachings without compromising.
If you read His word, you sill find out it is not easy being Jesus' servants as most churches are making out to be.
You will find the most rewarding outcome if you are sincere about being Jesus' servant. You will have confidence that you can overcome any difficulty this world brings.

I also encourage you not to join and attend organized churches. They are not interested in following Jesus faithfully, so their Bible classes are manipulative and twisted around to fit to the majority or their own organization.
If you are seeking the whole truth, Holy spirit will help you to understand Jesus' word. Sure the churches make you feel very comfortable being their member but following Jesus is not as comfortable as Christian communities are making it out to be. Jesus tells us that if we follow Him we will be persecuted. He also says that the road that leads to life is narrow and only a few find it.
And Jesus' teachings are not complicated, on the contrary, Jesus explains them clearly and simply. It is not easy to follow if we are not willing to abandon our worldly way which is politically and majority accepted life style.
So all we need is wholehearted commitment to Jesus. And of course it is easier to say than practice. Yes, we certainly need strong faith in Jesus.

Please dont waste your precious life following the majority and being a lukewarm believer. We will not be any use if we are lukewarm. Non-believers are much better than lukewarm believers because lukewarm ones are misrepresenting Jesus and it is blasphemous.

Jesus' followers are Jesus' representatives and ambassadors. Jesus tells us to be salt and light of the world. He also tells us to be holy and perfect as He is Holy and perfect. Of course no one will be like Jesus but we have to aim to be like Jesus. All He is asking is to make every effort to be like Him. Our wholehearted effort will compensate our shortcoming by the Holy Spirit.
Many many Christians will tell you that following Jesus will not save us because it is work based which is against Jesus' word.
Jesus tells us in so many word that being obedient to His commandments (His teachings) is the most important principle of being His followers..

Jesus' teachings are summarized in two commandments; love God and love your neighbor as yourself which includes loving your enemy too.
If we love God and Jesus with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, the Holy Spirit will help us to be faithful to Jesus and overcome our worldliness (sinfulness).
Jesus explains how to love God and love one another in His messages of the gospels.
May God bless you with wholehearted devotion to Jesus. |
