Most of us (including me) are living comfortable life in wealthy countries. Jesus told rich young man to sell everything he has besides following the ten commandments and follow Him.

I wonder what Jesus thinks of us living so luxuriously while many people are starving to death without knowing Jesus.

Jesus also says that it is hard for rich people to go into kingdom of heaven. I always think about us Christains who are living in wealthy countries. Jesus lived very humbly and didn't even have place of His own to live.

This young man was not ready to live for Jesus. That's what Jesus wants us to do; to live for Him. So we as a whole christian community are just like this young man, just enough to call ourselves christian but not willing to give up everything for Him.
