2 Cor 3:15
15 But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart. But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.
what does this passage mean? _________________ YHWH is my God and Jesus is my Lord
Paul was here saying about the Jew's of His day, (& it can be about people of our day also) that they were so intent on keeping the Law code as given to Moses, in a ritualistic fashion, that they had lost sight of the Lawgiver, God Himself, & the one who He sent to liberate them.
The Jews knew that it was time for the Messiah to appear, yet when He did, they did not accept Him. They were so intent on "reading the law of Moses," that they missed entirely "the liberating spirit" of the Lord Jesus, while He was with them.
