I believe it is the OT and NT. You have to know that prophesy is all about prophesying, no one will know for certain who is right. We have to wait until Jesus starts His kindgom. |

well, when I was little boy I heard this opinion from several brothers ..
anyway, the Bible refers to living creatures , who follow Christ .
"two witness" is a prophetical expression and it refferes to the entire body of Christ living on earth during the last days.
The "body" is foreshadowed by two class of old :
-- the prophets
-- the priests
all times when YHWH had to tell or command or rebuke his people he used the prophet and even the priest have to obey and then all people..

look to Jesus words
Matthew 24:
31. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
have you tought to this verse ?
the angels he is sending are not the invisible ones ,
but are exactly those belonging to "Elijah" group , or the prophets
they are sent with the purpose to gather the others , all who received the call to be priests
they alltogeter form the "body"of Christ
I know three persons who proved to me that they belong to "prophet" group ,
the others now are awaking up and the "gathering operation" is under way..

well, you have to try to understand !...
will you only understand if I will point toward them with my finger ?
do you know that God's word is alive and it is considered "truth" even if it was not yet accomplyshed/fulfilled ?

This is another prophesy that not so important in following Jesus. We will find out who is right when Jesus returns and explain to us. Until then it is all speculation.
